Harvest Festival
We just celebrated our Harvest Festival, the festival after the rice harvest and we had a long weekend break since last Friday to Tuesday.
The festival gave an opportunity for the Entrepreneurs to make exta income, the organizer allowed them to sell their products and services. It was an excellect time for photoshoot and outing except for the hot weather and the lack of parking space.
Well said, it rained the next day and many places were flooded, knee-deep, fortunately it wasnt during the festival.
Sarawak celebrates its Harvest Festival on June 1-2, 2010, after Sabah celebrated its Harvest Festival on May 30-31, 2010.
Halal Expo in Negara Brunei
We are participating in the Halal Expo in Bandar Seri Begawan Negara Brunei which starts on June 3 to 6, 2010. Our people arrived safely after the long journey by road from Kota Kinabalu which takes about 8-9 hours to reach Bandar Seri Begawan. There is also a ferry service from Menumbok to Muara at Negara Brunei which takes about 2 and half to 3 hours, and you can always take the flight if you do have to bring in your goods.
The Department of Industrial Development Sabah is sponsoring the booth and the transportation of the products but the participants will have to bring them home themselves, but we are most appreciative of what they did in the spirit of promoting trade among the BIMP-EAGA and ASEAN countries.
We are bringing our herbal drinks products of Malaysia Ginseng and 'Mas Cotek' (ficus deltoidea), as well as the 'sky fruit' or 'tunjuk langit' products.
